Custodial and minor accounts may be opened for members under the age of 18. The minimum balance to open the account is only $5. Other children's account and services include:
- A grade card match program for k-12. The objectives of the program are: to build a Toledo Metro Federal Credit Union relationship with our youth; to encourage educational achievement to teach the benefits of and encourage a long-term savings habit; to encourage family membership; and to promote the Toledo Metro Federal Credit Union philosophy of “People Helping People”. - Children's account – Open a regular share saving account with a minimum of $5 and deposit $25 into a 48 month add-on CD for any child age 5 and under and Toledo Metro FCU will deposit $25 into the 48 month add-on CD account for that child! You must make a deposit once a year into the regular share in order for this account not to become dormant. You can add to this certificate at any time over the next four years but you cannot make any withdrawals from the certificate during this time or you will forfeit our match of $25.00. The certificate must also reach $250.00 within the first 12 months or you forfeit our match of $25.00 as well.
